Charity ascent of Jbel Toubkal 2010

Jbel ToubkalThought you’d never climb to the top of Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak? Well, now’s your chance.

Seriously, whilst not a ‘doddle’, the ascent of Toubkal is achievable by people who are reasonably fit and determined. Many have reached the summit of Toubkal who never thought they would!

So, do something you always wanted to do, or something you never thought you would be able to do.

The Itinerary:

Neltner Refuge Hut

Saturday 29th May 2010

Meet at 10.00 to 10.30 hours at the Kasbah du Toubkal, Imlil for tea and coffee before setting off at 11.30 hours for the Neltner Refuge Hut (3200 metres).

Toubkal summit

Sunday 30th May 2010

Early start to the summit of Toubkal (4165 metres) and then return to Imlil between 16.00 and 18.00 hours

The cost

The cost for this trip fully inclusive of all mule support, guides, food and overnight accommodation is 250 (euros) per person of which a minimum of 150 (euros) will go to Education for All. The party is limited to 20 people which will raise 3000 (euros) and hence cover the costs for 3 girls for a year. Participants on past events have also managed to sponsor themselves and raise even more funds.
